The McCormack project poses many challenges due to the building’s tight urban site, the historic nature of the building, and the various sustainable elements being incorporated. In pursuit of LEED certification, the Suffolk project team has worked closely with the owner, owner’s representative, architect, subcontractors, engineers and all other partners on the site to balance several competing priorities, such as the maintenance of the structure’s aesthetics, energy efficiency upgrades, compliance with strict building codes, and proper handling of hazardous building materials. | Boston, MA
