The $49 million dollar renovation of LATTC’s Learning Resources Center has started with a special groundbreaking ceremony. President Chip Chapdelaine emceed the special event to mark the beginning of work on the LRC. The upgrade will expand the library space and will house all of the student success services in one location. The building will be constructed at the silver LEED level meaning it will be environmentally sensitive. Once completed, the building will have a new entrance as well as a garden amphitheater that will lead to a lower floor on the south side of the building. It will make for a spectacular green space for the LATTC campus. Deputy chancellor Dr. Adriana Barrera and LACCD Board of Trustees member Nancy Pearlman were on hand for the groundbreaking.
