COLLABORATION: AT ITS MOST POWERFUL, TECHNOLOGY HELPS US WORK TOGETHER

 

Recently, I attended a big meeting. By big, I mean over 1,000 Suffolk people in four locations were in attendance. It was a nationwide videoconference, and because we could do it, we saved people hundreds of hours in travel time and saved our company many thousands in costs.

 

Beyond efficiencies, the incredible convergence of technologies today is enabling something even more powerful: Collaboration. I believe that mankind now has the tools to work together as never before toward common goals, and the common good.

 

Our company, Suffolk, embraces leading edge technology, first and foremost, to drive collaboration. That’s because we’ve learned—and relearn constantly-- that no one person can build a building. Teamwork, partnerships, and relationships, built on trust, are what make projects succeed. As my friend Peter Campot, our Chief Innovation Officer says, “We are always smarter than me.”
